L is for Love

MonoModay with a Romantic theme “sparked” a memory for me about a previous Blip entry.
My aunt Nellie married late in life and she and her husband Phil used to frequent the Trocadero Restaurant in London on special occasions.

They would exchange romantic messages in these little matchbooks.

His reads:
11/10/58
In celebration of the day I married the most wonderful girl in the world.

Hers reads:
Here’s to the end of a perfect week and the beginning of a perfect future
All my love, darling
Nellie W

The W to emphasise that they were now married.
