Is this a meringue......or a meringue?

The meringues and sandwiches went down well with the ladies of The Monday Club after we had listened to a very interesting talk by a local member of the Lomond Mountain Rescue team.

I received two phone-calls today:

   ~   the first to book me for two new house-sits for June and December next year;

   ~   the second was bad news from P, to tell me that she'd taken the kitten to her vet for a check-up this morning and it was confirmed that Teddy still had heart problems. (He'd been born with a hole in his heart, but had undergone surgery which was deemed to have been successful by the breeder's vet.) P has reluctantly returned the kitten to the breeder. Poor little Teddy!
