"Romance"....

....or "Romantic"--the theme for MonoMonday. So you're probably wondering what a cup of coffee has to do with romance.
A number of years ago, while I was at work, a long white florist box was delivered for one of my co-workers......it contained a dozen long stemmed red roses from her husband, as it was her birthday. Of course we all  went "ooh and aah" over them, then went home and told our husbands about how our co-worker got a dozen beautiful roses. Well, Tom kind of made a face and didn't say anything, so I asked him, didn't he think that was so thoughtful, and he said "not really". I asked him why he said that, and he said it was only his opinion, but when a guy sends flowers to work, it isn't to be thoughtful because it's his wife's birthday--it's because he wants everyone ELSE to know how "thoughtful" he is, & if he wanted to surprise her he'd have had them at home for her when she got there! He said it's not the big splashes you make to impress other people that make a marriage last, it's the little things you do each day for each other, just because you want to.....like me making you coffee every morning.  I never forgot that.   :))
