Without a Hitch

This one I've known for 30 years as her family moved from Bristol to a house a few doors from my childhood home, around the time we started primary school. Now she lives in London and her boyfriend John owns a craft beer bar in Hitchin, which is handily equidistant between Cambridge and the Big Smoke. The bar was celebrating its first anniversary and Claire and John were very generous in supplying me with beer and pulled pork.

For many years Claire and I went through school together, worked together and hit the town together. We don't see each other often but it is fantastic to reconnect with old pals and realise there is just as much in common as there once was, only now there is more life experience to throw at each other. We had a roaringly good catch up.
