Snow Down Under

AN IDYLLIC DAY...........

......if you’re on holiday - 27*c. Perfect with just a slight breeze. At this time of the year tourists who drive round Wanaka will quickly realise the towns two signature roses are Dublin Bay & Iceberg. You see them in gardens, on walls, boundary fences, just about everywhere. Dublin Bay is a hard red & I’m not that shook on it but I absolutely adore Iceberg. Both grow so well & appear to suit our climate.
Because it is too hot to be outside, I’ve picked a basin of broad beans & spent the afternoon podding them for dinner tonight - as an accomplice for (farm !) lamb shanks that smell absolutely divine.
I am quite mad. I should be having something cold on such a hot day.
