It's dark - And more utility company rantings!

Scotland in the winter is dark. On the days that Ann works, I go for my morning walk in the dark and I go for my afternoon walk in the dark. Walking in the dark is not much fun for a gorgeous little collie or her human.

And I know we promised we wouldn't rant about 'Scottish Power' again............................. So today we thought we'd have a rant about BT??!!..........................

Ann has had an account with BT since 1984, but do BT reward customers for their loyalty? They do not. Our St Ives home has BT wifi/phone. We RANTED about BT on 6th January 2017, but stupidly still went ahead and signed up for another 24 month contract which was supposedly going to cost us £33.99 a month. Somehow £33.99 per month has morphed into more than £36 per month and as our 'free caller display' comes to an end in January, Ann was dreading the phone call to cancel it so that they don't start charging us. We don't even use our land line there.

However, today we got an email from BT to say that their prices are changing and as from January our monthly direct debit will be £2.50 more (& if they charge us for caller display that will be £1.50 per month) and no where in the email does it mention that VAT will also be added to these increases. The good thing though, is........................... we don't have to stick with them for the rest of our 24 month contract. Hope Ann's read that correctly. We can switch to another provider as long as we let them know within 14 days. Yay!

All we want is unlimited wifi who needs a land line these days? so once we've posted this Blip, we'll be switching to unlimited PO wifi @ £19.99 per month. That is what we have in our Edinburgh flat and we've never had a problem with it.

....................Looks like it's going to be 'Bye, bye, BT'.
