A drop less in the ocean

This handsome bench has just been installed in Ashmeadow Woodland in the centre of the village. It has an excellent view shown in the lower picture.
It is a memorial to one of the Trustee for the Woodland who died earlier this year. His wife, who generously contributed to the cost is seen here just after the brass memorial plate had been fixed.

An interesting fact about the bench is that it is made from recycled plastic. It should be maintenance free for fifty years. And it is a small contribution to prevent old plastic from ending up in the oceans.
