Life through the lens...

Google Doodle

Intrigued by today's lovely Google Doodle, I found out that it was to honour Gertrude Jekyll. Born 29th November 1843.

Many of you who love gardening will know this name well.
A legendary horticulturist who made the world a more beautiful place.
She created 400 gardens in the British Isles, America and Europe.
Among them  the tiny garden of Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, Northumberland,
Barrington Court, Somerset.
Glebe House, Woodbury, Connecticut, USA.
Parc Floral des Moutiers, France.

So this collage of plants which are still flowering in our garden today, is my tribute to this wonderful lady.
She once said.
"The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies".
I know that to be true.

Must just say a big thank you for your hearts and stars which put my spooky tree and sunset on the popular pages. A real surprise.
