Rainbow Laces - And Flags

Tonight's Checkatrade Trophy game between Yeovil and Plymouth was in support of Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign; the players wore rainbow coloured laces and the corner flags were similarly adorned to show solidarity for LGBT players, staff and fans as part of the EFL's initiative..

It was encouraging to see awareness being raised in this way, though I suspect there is some way to go before the LGBT community feel totally comfortable in the football world.

The match itself was the proverbial game of two halves: Yeovil played very poorly in the first half, which Plymouth totally dominated; a couple of substitutions and a change of formation led to a vast improvement in The Glovers performance after half time and we came from behind to win 2-1 with a particularly good winning goal 3 minutes from the end.
