Well I'll bee

I didn't think I had caught the bee but there is the evidence. I am thinking it is a wool carder bee on the early shift so he hasn't accumulated any wool yet.
At first I thought German wasp but but no waspish waist. Do let me know if I have it wrong.
The lavender not quite in full bloom, just one or two little flowers opened. See extra.

We are having some lovely summer weather. I'm sure the garden is much more advanced than other years.
