Wrapped up warm

After a good nights sleep, we were up, just in time, for our hairdresser this morning!!

Gone is the sun bleached, almost white, hair, thank goodness, back to normal, hubs woolly sidies have gone too ;-)

After a quick sandwich we were off to Manchester, to meet up with one of hubs old school pals, together with his wife and four criends, who were visiting from Oslo. We met up in the Old Wellington Inn, unbeknown to us a table had been reserved, thank goodness, as the city was absolutely rammed with people, never seen it so busy!

We all had a lovely couple of hours, their english is superb, so we were all able to chat. They have been here since Thursday and are enjoying the Christmas markets, although they were somewhat taken aback by the crowds today I think!

Once we parted company we headed off for a coffee, before venturing towards Albert Square, hub fancied getting some chestnuts and liquorice......I took a few photos inbetween heads, we couldnt get near the stalls, so we headed back empty handed.

We already have plans to visit again on a weekday when it will be much more civilised, hopefully!!

I liked this shot of the cheese & charcuterie stall holder......I am sure he will be smiling come 22nd December when he totals up his takings ;-)
