Carlos and the Woodcock

No, not some new indie band, but 2 of the residents at the wildlife rescue.

Carlos was released into the wild yesterday but wasn't keen on flying off into the sunset - probably not wanting to give up his daily diet of fresh meat at the rescue centre. He kept a very close eye on me as I cleaned out his aviary - he will hopefully be successfully released (again) later today. 

The woodcock came in yesterday - he has a poorly eye and will hopefully be released soon once he is all fixed up. It was a birdie sort of day. 

Still no heating. John is relieved to be heading off to a nice cosy hotel for most of the week, Sarah is also off for a few days on a trip to Edinburgh - just me, David and the dog to shiver at home.
