MonoMonday: Science Fiction

Not being a fan of Science Fiction, the theme of this week's MM challenge hosted by Si, I decided to take it literally.

The fiction bit was easy (a selection by some of my favourite authors) but the most scientific thing I could lay my hands on was this microscope.

On quizzing Mr isbi on its history I discovered that although it wasn't in the realms of science fiction, it was certainly "cutting edge" in 1949.
His father bought it in London and used it during his medical career. Then Mr isbi used it in his veterinary practice until the late 90s.
By then it was 50 years old and superseded but you can still appreciate the quality .
