The Edge of the Wold

Misty mountain top

Gus and I might have been on a mountain top with the valley below full of clouds. In reality though we were on top of the low hill of Arnside Knott, and cloud was gathering quickly below us. When we left the house there was hardly a wisp of mist, but it materialised after the sun rose and before the wind began to blow.

Another bright and dry day. In the afternoon we all went for a walk over Yewbarrow with Alison, Sue and Rowan. It was the first time I had seen Alison since we returned from Raasay. We celebrated with tea, cakes and Wifie's first mince pies of the season.
