The Edge of the Wold

Two Gus blips in a row and a gap of several days. Gus and I have been busy entertaining our visitor Dr T while Wifie has been away. We have been on lots of walks, have seen the Arnside bore, marvelled at the great starling murmuration in driving rain at Sunbiggin, walked round Leighton Moss, bumped into Knottman2 and ascended the Knott at least daily. Since I probably will not find time and opportunity to fill in the missing days, this will have to suffice as a record of the last few days.

Gus is perched on a large rock on the shore at Jenny Brown's Point at high tide and after the sun was swallowed up by the cloud over the Irish Sea. The plan had been to have a walk around Jack Scout, see the sunset and have a coffee at Wolf House - but of course by the time we got to WH, they were shut. In the evening, Dr T set off for his overnight stay near Birmingham and had an epic journey in the snow as he headed south, eventually arriving 4 hours later.
