Cramp Balls

If this is the fungus I think it is, it has many names - King Alfred's cake, cramp balls, and coal fungus.

Cramp balls suits me today given I cycled a fair way with cramp ...in my toes.  I had to do a fair bit of mental encouragement to get out on my bike today but as usual, really glad I did.

I'm adding Ash Tree Kid to the fungus nicknames. I'm sure this is a familiar face being born out of an ash tree not a cabbage patch.
