Alan's excitement levels went through the roof today.  Not only is his Christmas tree and all his decorations up in his new sitting room, but I told him last night at bedtime who will be visiting us at the weekend.  To say he was pleased with the news is an understatement, he was ecstatic and this morning wanted to wear his Elf t-shirt in preparation. 

Yes, it's that time of year again when Elf, LeeAnne, Dr T and Hel arrive for our annual, Christmas get together.  Unfortunately Hel can't make it but we will celebrate on her behalf.  Alan loves them all and can't wait to see them. 

David finally managed to get the winter tyres on our car today.  He was away for about four hours all together but now we have Lola Land right outside the back door, it was no problem for me to let her out when she asked.  

Spoke to Ele and Hogmanay and New Year celebrations have been confirmed.  Ele and Kenny, Agnes and Adrian will come to ours on Hogmanay (as usual) and bring in the New Year.  Agnes and Adrian will go home on the 1st.  Ele and Kenny will stay here for dinner on New Year's Day and will be joined by Andrew & Nikki, Nikki's mum, Jennifer, and possibly Becca (Jennifer's friend) and her little boy Max.  Ele and Kenny will stay till the 2nd (the rest except Becca may do so as well) then Ele and Kenny will leave to pick up Kenny's mum from his sister's and take her back home.

I am looking forward to it.  I love having a houseful on New Year's Day and now I know who is coming, I can speak to the butcher and get my steak pies ordered.
