The Tales of Beatrix Potter

My sister has been collecting fifty pence pieces for a number of years .  She happened to mention that she had the full set of Beatrix Potter 2017 collection with the  exception of Peter Rabbit.  Well today Phil got it in a small pile of change at the supermarket, it has been in circulations so is a little scratched.  Peter is the first coin in the Beatrix Potter in the 2017 collection, and my sister was delighted we had found one for her.

On the other front Phil had a phone call from the hospital and we have a date for his operation.  Christmas will have to be postponed, we can have a joint on with Lacey when she gets home in the new year.  The op is scheduled for 19th December and will need a 10 day minimum stay in hospital.  I had almost expected this to happen but am a little surprised, I had almost convinced myself as we got closer that they wouldn't do it over the Christmas period.   Never mind, it will be great to get it over and done with and get on with our lives.
