Little Saint Nick

No not this man he's the leader of the White Hart Morris Men. They were dancing in front of the Turks Head pub in Alcester as part of the St Nicholas night celebrations in the town.
This is an annual event, to celebrate St Nicholas, after whom the Church is named. There is a rather random selection of events including a parade of vintage cars , a 'Boy Bishop' a  Snow Queen stilt walker , lots to eat and drink, and finally fireworks .
Many local clubs and groups have a stand to promote their activity and LooseCanon and I were helping to run a stall to promote our choir and forthcoming concert.
The Court Leet ( ancient tradition of people whose job it is to taste the meat bread ale etc to make sure it is fit for consumption) were selling their own label of bottled beer which we shall enjoy trying tomorrow.
