Winter

A little snow overnight and the wind has dropped down - only gusting to 40mph today. Feels bitterly cold, well below zero with the wind chill factor.

I was snug under my duvet in the Blue Bothy, i've never minded a cold room to sleep in. When i was a child we had no central heating system and the windows were single-glazed and metal framed which didn't close too well so i'd sometimes wake up with a snowdrift on the inside windowsill! Then it would be quickly out from under the pile of blankets, into your clothes and down to the bathroom where the facecloth would sometimes be frozen to the sink.

Haha, the not quite so good old days :)
