Minus 7 last night ...

... and it’s not been above freezing all day. Despite the sunshine. A beautiful, beautiful day - clear, crisp, frosty and cold. Our mission this morning was a trip on the Santa boat on the Forth and Clyde Canal at Kirkintilloch. First off is breakfast at Nonna’s Kitchen then at the appearance of some elves it’s out of the cosy restaurant and onto the boat. Unfortunately this year the boat was icebound so couldn’t do the trip to the marina. Frankly I don’t think the 2 year old, whose benefit this whole thing was for, noticed the difference. When it was all over I walked the dog along the canal. The swans were having a hard time of it with all the ice. There were deer in the field I blipped a couple of weeks ago and hundreds of geese in the neighbouring fields. They were quite a sight and quite a sound. The plants, weeds, grasses and trees were all covered in frost.
