a lifetime burning

Burning the candle

When we left the black tie party early this morning it was very wet and cold, although it being Bristol we only really had sleet.  Its continued to rain for most of the day, although around 11am it turned properly to snow.  It looked for a while as though we might get a decent amount but inevitably for this part of the world we've not even got a cm of snow.  Its still sort of trying to snow now but I would be amazed if we had any really snow in the morning.

In the meantime, Cathy has managed to get a horrible cold, so I've cooked an appropriately zingy curry this evening to help :-). When you have a cold, something with a bit of chilli in it always seems to make you feel a bit better about life.

Strictly has just finished, so I have now been summoned in to watch the start of series 2 of The Crown.  Its rather nice to be cosily tucked up in front of the TV when its so cold and wet outside.  I hope your Sundays are suitably relaxed and enjoyable too.

(As you can see, I forgot to blow out the advent candle early enough this evening so we will have to do without it until Tuesday!)
