Still Waters....

Maisie and I were out walking early this morning. It was hot to start with today but a southerly change cooled things down this afternoon. It is to be hoped the cooler weather brings some rain with it. The deep pool in the Taylor River, as seen here, is getting shallower by the day. The yellow plants to the right of this image are “Monkey Musk” which grows prolifically this time of year.
Hannah and Alex flew in to Marlborough Airport soon after 1.pm. They had the foresight to change into summer clothing in Auckland Airport. Hannah said they were able to shower there too which was a bonus after their long journey from a very cold snowy England. They managed to keep busy, walk into town, eat dinner and ward off jet-lag until an early bedtime. They were more pleased to see Kevin, their cat than he was to see them.
