Melting

The snow is thawing and most of the garden is now clear. The ice is beginning to melt at the edges of the pond which will please the birds although I have been leaving water out with their food. As you can see it's a very small pond and I was able to hold my compact above it and get it all in the shot.

I've been asked to play for a group of dancers who dance the original dances from the time of Jane Austen. I'm going to a practice with the other musicians tonight. Most are members of our now defunct morris side so it will be good to see them. This style of dancing is very stately so very different to morris dancing!
