An old boat cover mottled with multicoloured lichen so as to resemble the weathered hide of an aquatic reptile or the camouflaged skin of a flatfish on the sea bed. I suspect that the fabric is manufactured from plastic or nylon and  I love the way the living organism has stitched itself into the weave.
