Seeing Beyond Looking

Durham Cathedral's Rose Window

This evening, I went downtown with a friend to see the Christmas lights! I had read about the life-size replica of Durham's Cathedral Rose. It is made with thousands of coloured recycled plastic bottles. It was created by someone called Mick Stephenson for  the Lumiere Festival in 2015. Scroll down to see the Rose.
This year, this magnificent work of art has been erected in the town of Lausanne as part of the Christmas lights' display.

We lingered in the streets, buying some roasted chestnuts and drinking delicious spicy mulled wine! Then we took the bus back to my place. A fun outing!
In extras: a stylized and luminous Christmas tree.
