The Little Drummer Boy

Today is the day that I decided to get the creche down from the attic and set it up on my sideboard. Some years ago, I started to collect the famous santons which are small hand-painted terracotta Nativity figurines produced int the Provence region of Southeastern France.

Each year, I have added to my collection. This year I added a little drummer boy ('tanbourinaire') so I have put the focus on him today, with the out of focus 'Shepherd in the Mistral wind' crossing the bridge in the background.
