Classic Edinburgh

It looked like there was going to be a good sunset as the sky was clearing from the north west, so I went into town and up Calton Hill to catch it. Unfortunately there was thicker cloud in the south west and it never came to much. It was also quite windy so it was a bit hit or miss as to whether the tripod kept everything still enough. With the work at the St James re-development there are a couple of cranes, the tallest of which is nicely lit for the festive period, so I think the view to Princes Street is enhanced by its presence.
