Ice Carving

Tiny Tuesday: Ice Carving

It was a cold start this morning, with a nice crisp white coating of frost on the garden.  The pond also had ice on it, as you can see from this macro shot.  The fountain keeps the water circulating in the pond, but the inevitable motion causes these frozen ripples.  From a distance it looks as though the lilly pad leaves have been shrink wrapped in clingfilm.

After yesterday's late finish, there was (inevitably) a bit of a slow start to my day today.  To tell the truth, I've been feeling quite jaded all day.  Not hungover, so much as very short of sleep.  That did make tonight's band rehearsal a little bit more difficult than usual, but it was great to catch up with the other guys.  Steve had organised hot dogs and mince pies by way of a Christmas treat which was lovely of him.  At this rate I will need to diet as soon as Christmas is over! But now, an early night is what is required...
