The water birds only had a small opening on the Lake at Trentham Gardens today, the rest was frozen. So there was a little bit of tension in a small space as the swans, geese, ducks, coots were all getting on top of one another.

Dad had a check up at the Haywood Hospital this afternoon. His new drugs seem to be working and the consultant was pleased with his improved health.

We'd booked in at a favourite pub of ours - The Lazy Trout this evening for a meal, but were thwarted by freezing fog and traffic problems, so had to cancel. We still managed to find another pub, somewhere more local, and still had a lovely meal.
