Rails into the sunset

This shot doesn’t do justice to the magnificent sunset we experienced yesterday. I only had the iPhone to hand too. The reds were blood red and so intense. I liked the way the light was reflected off the tracks into the distance.

Seconds earlier a train had passed along the track, I captured it but the light was so low it didn’t make a good photo.

Plans for the day were delayed owing to a repair to a window hinge taking longer than we all anticipated. But it had its upside as we had lunch in town in recompense and were treated to this sunset on the way home.

In the evening we went to our final Christmas concert; the Albion Christmas Band. While we enjoyed the concert we both had the feeling there was a sparkle missing. Kate Rusby was more enjoyable yesterday.
