Mist on the Shortest Day

The shortest period of daylight hours of the year.  Tomorrow we start the inexorable move towards longer daylight hours in 2018.  I headed out early for the Christmas supermarket shop.  Perhaps I needn't have worried as customers were outnumbered by staff picking food for home delivery by a factor of 3 to 1.  Then again I'm glad I won't be there when the store is heaving and people are fighting over the last bag of carrots!
