Lightning and his big fish!

I presented a new toy to our cat Lightning today and he really liked it! I took a number of photos as you can see and put 4 of them together here. Lightning liked it the best when I dangled the fish above his head so he could leap up for it! But he also enjoyed grabbing onto the fish with his front paws and kicking it like crazy with his back feet. :o) 

Lightning was born on our wedding anniversary day, June 11th - back in 2014. We adopted him October 26th, 2014. 
Here's a blip of him at 4 months old.  So sweet!! He is a very affectionate cat and quite athletic. When he leaps from the bookshelf to the dresser, Steve will say, "Another 3-point landing for Lightning!" Luna is not as graceful. 

When Lightning seemed lonely in 2016, we adopted another cat and named her Luna. She has a completely different personality from Lightning and while he is lithe and athletic, she is a round grey velvet ball! But they get along famously and are very happy living together. She was sleeping when I brought the fish toy out. I have not seen her play with it yet! This is something I just had to try, especially with Steve's love of fishing. Do you have pets that have favorite toys?? Our cats like some stuffed toys and cardboard boxes!!
