A Marvellous Time in Ely

After having to cancel our much anticipated Christmas lunch with our dear friends M & M, (because of all the snow and ice in their area last week), at last our re-scheduled get-together went ahead today.  The weather was gloomy, drizzly and misty today as you can see from my rather dismal photo of Ely Cathedral, its tower in the clouds, but at least it was OK for driving to and fro.
So, M, B and I met at our friends at the lovely 'Old Fire Engine House' and enjoyed a delicious, long lunch and a good catch up.  The roads in Norfolk are very dirty and our poor car didn't look in the least bit silver by the time we got home, now I know why so many drivers in Norfolk have to wipe the dirt of their rear number plates between washes so that they remain legal!
