Pictorial blethers

By blethers

Midnight ... almost

Holy Trinity Dunoon: a singer's view as we wait for our soprano soloist to start Once in Royal David's City. The church is full of candles and tiny lights, and later it will fill with the smoke of the incense so that by the moment of communion we'll feel we can't see the altar...

This year we sang a simply lovely Ukrainian carol during the communion, and Himself played his variations on a Palestinian Christian chant as the closing voluntary. I'll be interested to see what fellow-blipper Feorlean uses as his blip, having just realised that the ones we took together after the service are, of course, for another day.

Additional photo is of the candle in the church porch.

Happy Christmas!
