Mount Batur

Volcano summit 1,717m. To put this in perspective, there is no mountain in the UK this tall - the tallest being Ben Nevis at 1,345m.

An early start to set off from the start at 03:00 in order to reach the summit before 06:30 to watch the sunrise over Mt Agung, the volcano that has been causing all the trouble.

A long, hard slog and brutal towards the top, but it was ABSOLUTELY worth all the effort!

An afternoon at the hot springs has hopefully sorted out my sore muscles.
