Late

The snow arrived too late to make it a white Christmas (probably much to the relief of the betting shops).  However, the very heavy rain we experienced late yesterday turned to snow overnight, so we woke up to a white scene outside the window.  As the day progressed this changed to rain and most of the snow had disappeared by the end of the day.
