Amiable and Sweet

If you are especially fond of the pink hyacinth, it shows that you are amiable and sweet. Hyacinthus was accidently killed by the god Apollo, who said, "He shall become a flower." While he spoke, the blood which flowed on the ground and stained the herbage, ceased to be blood but a flower of the more beautiful colour than the Tyrian dye. It's fragrance scented the air and to this day, we know it as the hyacinth.
