A dusting of snow

The roofs of Macclesfield looked rather lovely today in the early morning sun, with their dusting of overnight snow and frost. This was the view I had when I popped out of MiL's house to get the morning paper. As I was planning a morning of DIY and then an afternoon of travelling back to Newcastle, I thought I'd capture it for a quick blip.

We had a good journey home: we're rather glad to have travelled today in view of the dire warnings of heavy snow tomorrow -  whether it'll materialise, of course, remains to be seen.

(The house will have to go on the market soon to help pay her care home fees so a few odd jobs are necessary.)
