Bo Peep Corner

Local legend has it that the Bo Peep lived at this end of Pembury.  Was the nursery rhyme called after a shepherdess from Pembury or was a shepherdess from Pembury called after the nursery rhyme?   We may never know.  This sign went up in 2008 after the original one was destroyed in a storm.
Kent villages embraced the village sign after King George VI encouraged the practice and nearby Biddenden won a Daily Mail competition in 1920 for their sign.
Mr P has been suffering with a heavy cold since Boxing Day but today agreed to come for a walk. Only 5,500 paces but better than nothing
