When Fergus Started the Year on Westport Beach

6.5C with a dry bright morning then some showers in the afternoon.
Moderate or light WSW/SW/SSW/NW breeze.

Apothecary7, Fergus, and I wish you all a Happy New Year !

Since rain was forecast from noon or so we headed out about 10am and went to Westport beach to have a long walk along towards Machrihanish. The tide was well in so there was less sand than usual to walk on. The waves were still spectacular despite the wind having dropped to a moderate breeze.

We had the beach all to ourselves other than for two other walkers. As expected when we were nearly back at the car park other people were starting to arrive for their walks. By going early we had the beach to ourselves and avoided the rain which arrived in Campbeltown when we were sitting down to lunch.

Later Apothecary7 started a new painting.
Fergus went between Apothecary7's studio and the living room as he pleased.
I was investigating a family tree branch which I hadn't looked at for a long time.
