you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties

It was a wild and stormy night......well, only to begin with. We left the house at 10.30pm last night and walked up the hill by the light of the almost-full moon - never needed the head torch once, even to cross the burn. It was very cold up top so we got into our bivvy bags straight away and we knew it was midnight when the fireworks started. What a wonderful display - for miles around. It rained for a short while and I woke up a couple of times in the night  and finally at 8.45, just as the sun was coming up above the clouds. It was the first morning of 2018 and very beautiful.

This afternoon  Matthew and Kath had invited friends to "first foot". It was a lovely relaxed occasion. I took the photo as we were leaving.
