New Year's Day Dim Sum Tradition

As we have done the past 8 years, we joined my neighbour and her close friends at noon on January 1st for an amazing few hours of visiting and nibbling our way through dim sum. We really look forward to this day every year. The wee boy will be 3 in April (blipped previously on New Year's Days). When we started this tradition 8 years ago, the boys parents were not yet engaged, let alone married. They are now expecting their 2nd child in June around the time of their 5th anniversary. We are so grateful to have found this lovely group of people to belong with. An afternoon nap and then some time in the kitchen with my sweetie whipping up coleslaw, cabbage soup & greek salad - time to get back to a healthy eating pattern! It is feezing cold here, we are 1 week in to a couple week cold snap, brrrrr
