Curly Frost

I took a nice long walk this morning and then set up for my friend Anna's visit. She arrived right at 2:00 and we had a wonderful afternoon and evening together. We watched a favorite movie of hers, The Whales of August, and a favorite movie of mine (and Arvin's), Bread and Tulips. I cooked us pork and polenta while she made a salad for us. We had a yummy dinner with pecan pie and ice cream for desert. Around ten o'clock we were ready for bed. Much of the time we just talked, talked, talked. We've been friends for a very long time and had so much to share. It was the perfect way to spend New Year's Eve and what would have been Arvin's 89th birthday.
