Wide Wednesday . . . Water

Funny old day.  The cool morning ruled the idea of a beach day out and so the women went shopping in Richmond with mixed success.  I have my first piece of "active wear" clothing and new walking sandals.
Our visitor Debbie is into genealogy.  The afternoon was spent with her finding lots of info about the foresters ancestor who came from England to be a medical officer in Taranaki in 1865.  We didn't know that branch of the family had been in New Zealand that long or that he had been involved in the Maori versus settler conflicts.
I had to have a blip with water for today's wide Wednesday so that meant a walk on Tahuna Beach.  The blip was taken at 6.30 pm.  The tide must be at dead low.  Lots of people still enjoying the beach.
