Community Art

This hoarding hiding the now disused Meadows Café which stands at the entrance to the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary is a questionable work of art in progress, although who the artists are remains a mystery.
It is amazing that the boys who continue to spray the territory with paint from cans rather like animals leaving their scent, have so far desisted from daubing their gang names over it all.

It was a strange day today with some people back at work while others are still off- a day in limbo before real life re starts. The Christmas decorations in the city are looking a bit weary even if the Christmas Market is still functioning, and there remain hordes of visitors clogging the streets between the Dower House and the centre of town. I wonder if they think their visit is worth it as they get caught in another stingingly cold squally shower.

I’m just happy to close the blinds as soon as the light fades and enjoy the comforts of home, such as they are without fully functioning radiators and glad that fate has provided equable temperatures outside.
