Break In Burglind

Burglind is the name of the storm that has been racing around Germany causing havoc.  This was taken around 10:30 this morning, it was really the first bit of natural light I'd seen.

When I got up at 6 it was blowing a gale round the house and the rain was incessant.  But instead of retiring to the charms of a thick duvet and central heating, I went to work.  Where I spent 8 hours working hard at stuff and not speaking to another soul.

And because weather forecasts here are usually quite pessimistic, it cleared up around 2 this afternoon and there was a lovely washed out blue sky for a few hours.

And now I'm home, the storm is starting up again.  It's rattling the shutters and I'm really enjoying that it-can-wait-until-tomorrow feeling.

And no, I have no idea (or inclination to find out) where the name Burglind comes from.
