Steam Elephant

Really......This is a replica of a steam engine called Steam Elephant

The original is believed to have been built around 1815, and this replica was built in 2002 and carries passengers on the Pockerley Waggonway at Beamish Open Air Museum.

Another lovely day here, made for us by the staff and volunteers, all in period costume, who bring the life and times of Victorian Britain to life.
