My Year

The Milky Bar's Open

Spent a fantastic day at Beamish Museum. So much to see and do. There's a town, station, farm, coal mine and pit village, and manor house.

We didn't have enough time to see it all, but having paid your entrance fee you can come back as many times as you like for 12 months, which is great.

So many lovely Blip opportunities but fell for these piglets tucking in on the farm. I'm going to call them British Saddlebacks, though someone may correct me. Saddlebacks are an "at risk" breed, and there were originally "Essex" and "Wessex" varieties. In 1967 the breeds were amalgamated, due to declining numbers and are now simply "British" Saddlebacks.

So, there you have it.
