Bob at the Brewery

The Rotary Club organised a trip to the Zig Zag Brewery at Lithgow today.
It's been there since 1888 but most of us barely knew it existed.

It was very interesting.
We got a tour of the modern works, the old historical equipment, a fabulous pizza lunch cooked in the giant pizza oven (an old steam boiler -  see extra) and of course sampled the boutique beer and local mineral water.

I liked the story about how government regulations insist they put a 2 year "use by" date on the 4 million year old spring water.

This is one of the senior Rotarians, Bob.
Well into his 80s, he climbed onto the bus and his phone started ringing. He said "I'm on a bus on the way to a brewery".
He then proceeded to organise the Airbnb booking for his incoming guests.
You can't keep a good man down.
